Our laying hens are Rhode Island Reds, some raised from chicks that arrived in spring 2009, and some that just arrived in April 2010. It'll be a couple of months until the babies start laying, but we have plenty of eggs from the first set, and everyone says they're great! |

We're selling the eggs for $3.00/dozen. Buy a dozen, or put in a regular order for a dozen a week. Either way, place your orders now! Or pick up a dozen at Coniston General Store in Croydon. They will also be available at the Newport Farmer's Market!

We built an outdoor pen for them so they can be pasture fed. We move the pen daily so they always
have new turf.
They also get a balance of natural grain
in their diet.
